In LaGeSo, in Wilmersdorf, in Neukölln..._\nI have initiated many art, cooking and crafting actions that aim to support new Berliners from Syria, Afghanistan... \nI am a psychologist and psychotherapist trained in positive transcultural psychotherapy and I have been supporting people also with my professional skills and knowledge.\nI have developed art therapy workshops for refugee kids that help them express emotions, feel understood without the language...\n I have developed a questionnaire that helps volunteers and social workers see a person holistically, including the needs of mind, body and psyche and put a person in a broader culture-religion-emotion-relationships context. For that, I interviewed refugees themselves, volunteers, studied cultures of the newcomers.\nYou can check out my blog on Facebook called Illegal Friends where I report part of that.\nI want to do more! I started writing more comprehensive science & psychotherapy article addressing culture-specific psychotherapy needs of the refugees.\nI want to do more workshops!\nI want to bring art and psychotherapy to smaller refugee homes in forgotten places across Brandenburg. For that, I need time, art tools and deutsche bahn ticket...\nAs I have devoted myself to living a welcome culture, my money-based work has been really suffering... I have been not worrying about it as I am sure I do a proper thing, but... if I could do more, I would be the most satisfied person in the world!
